Currently reading: Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins.
Okay so far, but I think it’s going to end up in the problematic paranormal romance category.
Currently reading: Fever by Lauren DeStefano.
Whyyyyy is this cover so ugly whyyyyyy.
I like it so far, but the The Chemical Garden series suffers from the Pretty Writing But No Action plague that has a death grip on the dystopian genre in YA right now. World building kind of sucks, but I tend to ignore that if I like the characters enough.
Currently reading: Beast Behaving Badly by Shelly Laurenston.
First Shelly Laurenston book, recommended by one of my co-workers. Apparently its the fifth in the series, which would explain some of my confusion with the giant cast of characters, BUT I am enjoying it. It’s not the best written book in the world, but it’s funny and unlike Lora Leigh’s Breed series there is not a single Alpha male, questionable consent sex scene in sight. So far, anyway.
Currently reading: The Serpent’s Shadow by Rick Riordan, in which RSquared continues to troll fan fic authors everywhere by making their crossover dreams a reality.
And Anubis so would like Arcade Fire. Such a hipster for a death god.
Just finished a mindless little read called Prada and Prejudice. In a mood where I just need some mindless romantic fluff to concentrate on.
And I got it for 99 cents at work, so don’t judge.

I think the new Morganville Vampires book comes out tomorrow too and I’m going to have control the urge to buy it because the last ones have been terrible and I hate every character except Myrrin and his giant spider at this point but I HAVE THE REST OF THE SERIES so the urge to complete it is great.
Also, stop giving Shane POV chapters, Rachel Caine. HE’S A DOUCHE.
I really need to take a break from dsytopian/post-apocalyptic YA lit. It’s all starting to blend together in my head and make for a boring reading experience.
Currently reading: Under The Never Sky by Veronica Rossi.
Just started this and like it so far. I like action right in the beginning!
Currently reading: The Iron King by Julie Kagawa.
Fairies are pretty much the only paranormal creature I have zero interest in unless they’re in an ensemble type book, but I’m trying to read a few YA fairy books to see if my distaste is truly warranted.
While this book isn’t bad, I don’t really like it all that much either. Because I just really really hate fairies apparently.
Currently reading: Black Heart by Holly Black.
About 100 pages to the end. Aside from hitting my minor pet peeve of LOOK HOW COOL I AM, REFERENCING MY YA FRIENDS BOOKS IN MY YA BOOK LOL early on, it’s been flawless so far.
